Not sure how the price of petrol here (1.16 litre) bears on their opposition to new U mines? Might get dearer if power generators etc don't ned to buy oil, unless of course we have nuke powered vehicles.
The name of Claire Martin's game is to turn this to the right for a state/terr to self-govern. She will win this nationally. McFarlane would have been well advised to let the Oct ALP Conference change the policy. He has been forced to overplay his hand.
Still, in 3-5 years tim ewhen it matters, a junior like cmr/aru should get their approvals or U308.
