I live in NZ. There's record migration here and there's still plenty of jobs. Builders and labourers, that's right, labourers, are in big demand, excavator drivers, farm hands, brickies, truck drivers, flying instructors, chefs, you name it.
Over the hill from where I live there's thousands of houses being built and they've had to cancel some of the construction because the infrastructure won't handle the increase in population. There's a 270 acre mall going in, 4500 apartments and about 4000 houses, and that's just around here. i.e. close by.
Lots of jobs in Christchurch after the earthquake too.
