Because Labor was fiscally stupid and arrogant. And yes, clearly, it seems it hasn't changed, and is still fiscally stupid and arrogant, and worse, passed on the Federal Deficit to the LNP Federal Government, and then laid the blame at the political feet of the LNP.
Not only was the Federal Labor arrogant when it came to running Deficits, it also blatantly lied to the public.
