It’s not just live cattle exporters that were affected by this absolute knee-jerk reaction.At the time I was a southern states cattle producer, I had just purchased heaps of cattle just prior to this ban and it caused me financial loss and distress for the next 18 months or so (from memory) with depressed prices caused by the ban.
I have no idea what compensation AACo was seeking.
