IMO dino3 the current debt will be paid off well before there is another downturn so nothing to worry about there.
It all appears to be up again for Australia for years to come. We weathered the GFC extremely well and are bouncing back economically. At this rate the debt will be paid off very quickly as government revenues get back to what they were.
