One of the many consequences of Russia's horrific invasion of Ukraine will be a major rethink by all political parties [including the LNP and Labor partys in Australia] of how a nation can best meet its energy requirements; and in the short to medium term the emphasis will be on domestically sourced, and processed, Oil and Gas. "Self-Sufficiency" will become the mantra.
The "Look what's happening in Europe" argument will be repeated again and again. Anyone who objects to this rationale will deemed to be an "Angela".
And so yes, an unexpected and welcome outcome for an Oil and Gas explorer like Carnarvon.
