That is true misty. As there is no fixed term federally a government can call a snap election at anytime for any reason. Only a double dissolution requires specific criteria to be met. But I doubt this package will be rejected, just modified a bit. If even a half senate election were held now Fielding would be one of the 50% up for re-election and it is highly improbable his 2% primary vote would get him over the line again. Dave R.
