There was recently some news at federal level.

    disallowed/politics/federal/taylor-expands-clean-energy-fund-s-remit-to-fire-up-gas-led-recovery-20200827-p55pvu.html

Australia has a clean energy fund with over $10Bn available. Angus Taylor has proposed a bill to allow investments in natural gas. He spoke very well for 10 minutes on the link .Some extracts below.

"Mr Taylor told Parliament the bill would "not divert the CEFC's existing $10 billion allocation" but would create a "trusted counter-party to investments, allowing the CEFC to support private sector involvement" in energy generation.

    The
underwriting program, which is open to all energy sources, is currently considering five gas, one coal and six renewable energy projects."

If the government is considering Narrabri to supply half of NSW gas then PEP11 must be on their radar. John Barilaro is the deputy premier of NSW and is on the board of NOPTA.

The Australian government has thrown $130Bn at job keeper payments recently in response to covid. Part of the covid recovery is to lower energy prices in NSW. There is 5.5M people in Sydney paying double the world average for gas. If the government can secure local supply and reduce the price back to that $5/gigajule target it saves people $thousands a year and big business $millions.

The more vocal the government is in their support of gas projects the more I believe Advent will receive a grant or cheap funding.
