Complete rubbish most NZ rivers are influenced by runoff from natural compost, bush beds so will always be polluted by natural rotting vegetation , that's the way its always been and that will never change , as for the seabed mining that's essentially opposed by Māori who want ownership of the project if they can close this down now then one day in the not so distant future they think they will own it and then all will be great , no objections then .As for SNG the obvious long term challenge will be building a processing plant , this could take many years and dilution will be an issue for holders.
The new government has already demonstrated they are prepared to issue LONG TERM approvals , oil and gas 20years and no doubt mining will receive similar commitments this is the only way to undo the damage to NZs sovereign risk the last labour government did , the worst government NZ has ever had and it seems the Ausse labor government is going the same way, plenty of ideas with zero success , why do you think Ardern jumped ship , she saw what her legacy would be and bailed .
