Seabed mining, due to environmental and cultural concerns. Māori opposition is often rooted under the guise of protecting natural resources and cultural heritage, the moon and Matariki. The environmental impacts of seabed mining can be significant, and indigenous groups typically in the past have not advocated for sustainable and respectful management of these resources unless there is a financial outcome for them. Her legacy is marred by unfulfilled promises and policies that, have left the country worse off. Evaluating her time in office reveals more shortcomings and controversies than achievements, painting a picture of a leader who ultimately could not meet the demands of her role, But enjoyed the odd DJ set in Auckland while having a chemtrail with Clark. The damage done.
