McFarlane is getting more and more outspoken by the minute. He argues that if the NT gives approval to explore then mining should follow.
The stated aim of the Fed Govt is now to take control of uranium mining in the Territory. The ALP may seek to change their Fed policy to circumvent the need for this Fed action at the October Conference. The NTG clearly needs a way to save face although I still think the Feds would haveinsurmountable obstacles if they go ahead. So a way out i needed for both sides.
Lets see what the NT Minister for Mines and Energy has to say in the short term although Kon's probably working through the politics of it with Clare right now.
