statehood has got nothing to do with this kalmsy. statehood is not affected in any way by the U row. there are formal agreements on the roadmap for statehood. there is no point in raising a red herring.

the feds will still have to force any legislation thru the senate and that will not be easy. the nt waste dump proposal by the feds also will have difficulty getting thru the senate. there are to senators clp here who can cross the floor under electorate pressure.

by the way, the feds are doing tis primarily over existing ranger/koongarra/jabiluka issues.
