Customers Limited partners with world-leading ATM manufacturer
A landmark deal between leading Australian ATM Company, Customers Limited (Customers),
and Korean-based Nautilus Hyosung was announced today, signifying a new era of
technology and service provision for the ATM and self-service financial services market in
Australia.
The partnership gives Customers’ rights in Australia to distribute a range of Nautilus
Hyosung’s latest ATM models, including the financial institutions ATM, Monimax series.
Nautilus Hyosung, a subsidiary of the Korean listed Hyosung Group, is a world-leader in the
provision of hardware and software solutions to the ATM and self-service financial services
market globally, with especially high market presence in the North American and Asian
markets.
Customers Limited Managing Director, Tim Wildash, said the partnership provided Customers
with unprecedented access to the most advanced, cost-effective ATM technology in the world
today for the Australian ATM market, and in particular the financial institution market.
“We are delighted that as a primary plank of their growth strategy for the Australian market,
Nautilus Hyosung has chosen to partner with Customers”.
“The partnership immediately enables Customers to offer financial services products across a
range of ATM and self-service technologies in a fast paced and changing consumer
environment”, Mr Wildash said.
The new Monimax series ATMs are designed to be extremely reliable with minimum and easy
maintenance. Its larger screen provides an excellent platform for targeted marketing, and its
forward thinking technology will allow Customers to service its existing and new banking
(financial institution) partners and corporate clients at a premium level.
Mr Wildash added, “the partnership will take our fleet and service to the next level as we also
work closely with Nautilus Hyosung to achieve further efficiencies with regard to parts and
service management logistics off the back of access to wholesale pricing through our
agreement”.
Mr Wildash also took the opportunity to re-enforce Customers ongoing commitment to leading
ATM manufacturer Triton.
“Our relationship with Triton will continue to play an important role in Customers’ offering to
the highly competitive retail ATM market. We will continue to distribute, deploy and support
the full Triton product set into the foreseeable future.” Mr Wildash said.
Hyosung Nautilus Senior Vice President of Overseas Business, Mr J.H. Moon, said the
partnership was an important part of the company’s Asia-Pacific expansion plans.
“We are very pleased to be building upon our existing relationship with Customers Limited in
Australia,” Mr Moon said. “The Asia-Pacific market is very important to us as a growth market
and we believe advanced technology such as the Monimax series ATMs will continue to
provide us with strong opportunities in the region.”
“Furthermore, we believe that the partnership with Customers will over time enable the
efficient and professional delivery of a range of new and exciting financial services products to
the Australian financial services market”, Mr Moon concluded.
