snakeway have a sale of a variety of fruit and vegies everyday around 2.00pm fill a vegie bag with whatever is on offer for $3.00 today I calculated i picked up $20.00 worth for $3.00
5 capsicum, weight 800 grams..cost $10.00 a kg = 8.00 4 apples, 250 grams @ $6.00 a kg = 6.00 4 cucumbers at 1.50 cents each =6.00 2 oranges
They usually have apples...which I buy for my possum family visitors.... anything else is a bonus I will probably give the cucumbers to visitors and use the capsicum to make a sweet and sour dish,or pizza and freeze same
am guessing you can probably get around 3 kg in weight in a bag....so whatever you buy, equates to $1.00 a kg
the food appears to be in very good condition....but obviously there is a use by date behind the scheme
