Yeah,I certainly questioned (in my mind) the accuracy of Grays profit figures.I agree with you that he's way off!
As I posted on a previous thread,I calculated months ago that Polo's and Dattells' avg price paid was around $3.66 per share. I came up with a total of $88.7 million paid for 25.4 million shares.
That was calculated also by going through all the relevant APP 3Y's and 604's (substantial shareholder notices) and allowing for the AUD$/GBP rates at the time.
Looks like I was a little off on the number of shares,but I just wanted a rough idea.
Anyway,the only figure that really matters is the $7 they sold for.
Gotta admit I'm annoyed that they let them go so low (some as you say at a substantial loss).But it seems to me that once they had their holding the buying pressure on EXT no longer existed.
If anyone on this forum had suggested at the start of the year that Polo would be selling at a "premium" of $7,I would have thought you were nuts.:))
IMO,the accumulation/tree shaking tactics of bigger players have won.
