Well, I have to admit I thought that OGC would have held onto the gains made this morning. I did think of selling the shares I bought yesterday for a quick (and certain) profit, but I reckon that the problems that OGC are having in the Philippines will be sorted out and so I would rather stay for the longer ride.

The publicity is not good, but I have a feeling that this latest hold-up is due to some officials wanting a piece of the action. Not much gets done in the Philippines without the right connections, and money is a way of making those connections.

I certainly hope that OGC's earthworks do not cause too many problems for the locals - with their farming - or else I sort of feel like I would happily take a loss on OGC (which I will if the price stays around here) rather than bugger up a community.

But mining is not all bad. It's gotta be a win-win deal for the Philippines (and not just local officials) and OGC.
