A phenomenon in which a hostage begins to identify with and grow sympathetic to his or her gnome. This can represent a Gnome such as a goblin in the garden, a goblin on the internet, a goblin driving a Ferrari, a goblin crusing in a luxury liner, a goblin with all the chicks....etc...etc.........lol
