Being chased by a cow -> As kids we had to round up the cows in the late afternoons from the lower country up to the higher ground near the homestead, which we would hand milk and lock their calves up over night, so there was more milk to share with them and us, lol in the mornings.
At calving time, there was two red poles that used to charge at you, to protect their calves.
Usually or eventually, you could get them to play the game.
One time though, one of them in no way was going to have a bar of it, so we had to leave it behind.
Our father went off, saying the likes of you pussies, I'll show you how it's done.
So he went down the paddock with my youngest sister of around 2 on his shoulders.
And this cow went for him and as he began to exit the scene, she rammed him between the legs from behind, up to his crutched and threw him into the air LOL.
It then turned and knocked the sister over and rubbed it's head on her back.
The father then managed to find an old fence post in the paddock and chased the cow away, in a bit of a rage.
Me and one of my other sisters, the pussies LOL, were standing at a distance watching the whole adventure -> sweet revenge
Back in those days, us kids had no shoes or boots, they would have been a luxury, especially for those mongrel double gees, on the dirt track from the house to the cow shed lol. (milking shed)
