The advantage of only being able to play by ear is, the sky is the limit, and as I said, you can just play out any thoughts you like, your mood up, down, it could even be a love message, you just set the tempo's beats, foxtrot, swing, rock, whatever and the speed you want.
Sometimes I set it to the piano accordions and go down memory lane, playing the Father style and all his old songs, that he used to play on his accordion at the Old Black Shack.
He could read music which I can't, but he played by ear as well.
I now have his accordion, but rarely play it, as the BK5 has it all there.
That is where I first began on his accordion, I numbered the scale in my head 1 -> 8, and the likes of Twinkle Star, I'd hunt for the note and write on paper.
I did that for around 2 others, Ba Ba Black sheep lol, after that I didn't have to write down anymore.
I may have began with the Harmonica's.

You use the back of your tongue for base, like 1 2 3 waltz or whatever , my Father used to as well, but I didn't know that, it just come to me.
My wife's - music talent - zero and hates me going down memory lane, and says I should've been born in my Fathers time, but I don't bother telling her why I play them at times, mind you, some of the old ones a good.
