"You should learn to play what pleases her, too!"
I could could play anything she likes, and often do, but she's simply not interested.
As well as a lot of her church songs.
To be honest, I think part of it comes down to is, she has zero music skills.
The list I gave, are just examples, as in the Sky's the limit, if I know the turn to the Song, I just play it.
Sometimes I play, I don't know what you'd call it, you know how you have two singers at times, but one repeats a bit behind the other or parts of.
"piano lessons" -> no interest, my BK5 has 5 x C scales, so that's enough for me, hence more compact.
Not to mention, I'm over learning or instructions, step aside and just let me do it lol.
I would have developed, what you'd probably say are bad habits, finger placing and all that.
About all I know is - just play away.
But if you're playing buy ear, it's a bit like driving a car down the road, you know your not going to drive off the edge lol.
To try and simplify it, you can just talk through it.

Re your other posts -> Being an all rounder, due to the Black Shack Days , 8 kids, no power, running water, you name it, but I don't want to make it about me, but you had to mature at a very young age and learn fast.
Before even school age, at night time the milking cows would be brought up to the high ground bush block of around 100ac.
So off I'd go to find them by myself in the mornings and bring them to the milking shed, you'd be gone for quite while.
I wasn't the brightest, but finished up above most, re hands on etc.
Even when I started as an apprentice fitter machinist, I felt looked down up on.
But it finished up, it was more like me doing the laughing, not that I did.
I was at the Nickel Refinery.
Every section I went into, Drawing office for 6mths, they all kept saying, why don't you become a draftsmen, as they said I had good vision for the finish product, before even beginning.
Same with the welding shop.
But that is how I've always been, I eye the target, effective look left and right first, as if what could go wrong, and I already have a plan in mind, if that does happen.
My final Tech results, went passed any previous apprentices.
On the final 1/2 a Day with the Gov's examiner, walking through all the workshops, the plant etc, with him constantly asking questions.
The feed back was, that I was the best he'd ever examined over all his many years in WA, so that was encouraging.
I pretty much worked two jobs, holidays were flat out and up to all hours, hay making, our own and contract.
I purchased with a loan, what was a state of the art back then, one man band Hay carting machine, a lot of money back then.
Early 20's over 2 yrs, I subcontracted out the 1st house, pretty big, and did around half of that myself, pretty much using common sense.
Pitching the roof timbers, heavy Jarrah by myself and with the old hammer and nail days, sorts the men out from the boys.
LOL, boys, I don't think I've ever been over 60kg's, so there's nothing to me, but we don't get to chose our house lol.
Spent quite a few years breeding cattle amongst this.
Left the trade are 15 yrs and went farm fencing for 5 yrs, horses stables etc, you name it with a guy, mid way through that, I entered into what you call a Garden bag round, wool packs for people to put garden waste in, 3 days a week, or half days.
I then finished off the last 25 yrs, in the roof restorations game, and taught myself every aspect of that, facia, gutter, down pipes, high pressure clean, ridge cap re bedding, pointing, to recoating the roofs.
Sheeting the big tilt up factory roofs for a while, but didn't like that, as you couldn't do it solo, and I have little tolerance for imperfections, so that's a problem when you have to rely on others.
If it's not right the first time, do it again.
I never had an unhappy customer, and never took any payment up front.
Not to mention, all customers new in detail, what they were going to get.
Growing hay, contracting, was in among all those adventures at the same time lol.
Retired now, my wife huffs and puffs a bit, as she says males get to retire but wives don't, washing, cooking etc.
Lol, one feels like asking what's happened to one's memory, but that wouldn't go down well.
Midnight and beyond in hay seasons and up at 4.......
.....................
I just did a bit of moon spotting, lol, not worship, lights are for signs.
And atm, there is a Big wow factor.
Picture a rainbow but blue, around the moon, but at least 5 moon widths away from the moon, complete circle and now and then on the outer edge, the pink of a rainbow.
There is also blue wrapping around, left and right sides, hugging the moon, and likes of a rainbow at the bottom that blends into yellowish as it meets the moon.
On the top, a flat triangular cone, almost like a cap (?) red, deepish.
I probably shouldn't mention it, as people think your nuts lol, but as sure as the sun comes up, it's there and not just tonight.
Part of the description, fits in with Revelations, John sees a rainbow around the Throne which 100% is represented by a Clock.
