I have just come off a phone call with him, which he took in an ambulance being transferred to a major hospital.
Strange though, I rang him an hour earlier than usual - I knew that something was up.
I'll remain on alert tonight.
We may talk later, but he could be hooked up to all sorts of equipment - I will send him a text.
I am hoping they'll treat him specially, because when he speaks he can 'naturally' speak as the well-educated and polite man, he is.
Maybe he'll quote his mother, who was the Soup Lady of Canberra, the First who instituted that voluntary service,
and he peeled and peeled vegetables every Thursday night for years for his Mum. - I hope he does mention her.
he was only talking about that yesterday, quoting me potato varieties . . . I would so miss him, hope they can help him; I have had a cry already.
He really needs a lung transplant, and that won't happen, and he is probably too weak for that anyway.
