LOL glad to see the AU ford ute gone, never like driving it, it's been sitting at my brothers place for quite some time and rego cost more than it was worth. LOL I had forgotten it had a load of rubble in the back

Neighbour put a black strip down the centre of the bonnet which I am not a fan off but will appeal to some young guy

Mechanic came over last week to go over the MK3 supra, pulled the rocker covers off and was a heap of oil sitting in the spark plug recesses which which drained into the cylinders when he took the spark plugs out. Oh well suppose that will give the rings a lube when starting we laughed and we would expect a heap of blue smoke. I did want to do a compression test but with oil in the cylinders it was not going to give a true reading

Funny rocker cover gaskets still available for the Supra given it's 36 years old, any way replaced the gasket checked the oil and it looked clean. Had asked mechanic flush the cooling system but when he checked the coolant was in very good condition. Had a new battery so moment of truth, turned the key she turned over well so was good to know the engine was not ceased but it didn't start.

Thought it might be the fuel pump but after checking could not see power at the fuel pump, decided it might me the engine immobiliser which was not playing ball. Got an auto electrician out the next day who bypassed the immobiliser and we got power to the fuel pump, alas she still would not fire up so conclusion is that because she has been sitting so long with an empty tank the fuel pump is dead. Mechanic is away but hopefully next week he can replace the fuel pump, he is keen to see and hear it run.

LOL if I take it for a drive might fall in love again keep the Supra but if I do I need to make room in the warehouse, the dash is in real bad condition and the Supra needs a lot of TLC.

Weather is good this time of year so should be good up at Murchison and yeah love a camp fire, finish the night of with some Pedro X. Have a few clients to visit on the way up and back so we can call this a business

Got the Outback tourer 270 degree awing early last week and got it Monday, decided to fit it that afternoon and lucky I have a forklift. Well the fitting instructions are terrible, not even a list of the parts supplied and what they were for. There was 4 T bolts I presumed was for the track in the back of the awning but were too big for that, called up the company but they are in QLD and closed for the day. Anyway worked out the short M8 bolt heads go into the track on back of awning and tab bolts worked in the Rhino Rack, couple of hours had it fitted.

Very happy with the awning seems solid and even has LED lights in the arms, only issue is that I had to mount reasonably high because of the spoiler on the back tail gate. I'm not what one would consider tall LOL

LOL having been in and driven a Y62 I appreciate the appeal but with city driving fuel consumption 20.6L/100km I would no be using it as a daily drive
