I'm back
First overnighter with the club, the routine as we head back to camp is that trip leader gets some one to volunteer to start the camp fire and a couple of others to put out some nibbles for sundowners around the camp fire. Then after we have had our dinner we gather around the camp fire, seems it's an unwritten rule that we bring a bag of firewood each so we had plenty of wood.
I had some prawns which I decided I would do for sundowners, bugger I thought they were raw but when I went to peel them realised they were cook. Any peeled them, did some in a marinade and some lightly crumbed with herbs and garlic then heated up. They went down well along with some crayfish done in garlic butter some one else provided.
I'll post some photo's and video (if I can work out the video) of the 4x4 training latter, wow some of the tracks were quite a challenge but walk in the park for the beast. Seem you can't bog a LC 200 series but I had a moment where after coming off a steep decline and needing to do a loop through some soft sand I found myself stopped with some high revving. What the hell was I bogged? Arh no I had neglected to put it in gear after switching from low range to high rage, put it into gear and no problem getting through the soft sand.
Last night were gathered around the fire and it started raining so every one scrabbled back to there camp, unfortunately to quick to see what I had planned. With my awning extended I drove the beast up close to the fire and positioned it to shelter for the wind. Perfect, I sat back enjoying the fire and burning the last of the fire wood with my mate Pedro who is great company
