    Close, but no prize,

    It's a clutch out of my shearing head motor,

    It was designed in the event of a hand piece lock up, which I have never encountered in around 8 years of shearing, yet,

    What happens is the clutch kicks in and slips which gives the user at least 3 seconds to switch the motor of and then unbolt 4 bolts to expose the clutch and then with two ring scanners readjust and tighten the spring,

    I have two shearing heads, so I've done my maintenance one this arvo and will do the other one tomorrow,

    I noticed one shearing head was slipping under pressure so I changed the clutch today, I'll do both and then I won't have to touch them for another 8 years,

    And that's your mast class lesson for tonight,,,,
