Interesting story, Taurisk. Particularly your wonderful efforts to restore those worn out slippers for your youngest daughter. Yes, I understand why the word "fix" needed those quotation marks, lol. Your Plumex can be worn outside, so that's a boon. I have played with the idea of creating a sole for my slippers, or even put those little non-slip dots on their base. However, I know they will feel quite different and I am a wool purist, so I leave them in their soulless state. I use a scuff sandal and a pair of knitted socks if I want a quick trip outside for any purpose. I am uncertain (but will google after this post) as to whether wool made from camel hair is still on the market, but that was the left-over and very old wool which I used to make socks.
