Parents these days rarely support a teacher in their disciplinary attempts. In my earlier days of teaching, I can recall parents giving their son a whack when learning that he had given cheek to a teacher. These days parents would claim it was the teacher's fault. It was once believed that women feel guilty about going to work rather than staying home to look after their children and thus lashed out at teachers blaming them for their own child's behaviour because of that guilt complex. Now, I think it simply reflects the general community's lack of courtesy and decency to other people, bullying behaviour, lack of discipline being instilled into children, particularly as parents themselves live lives which lack discipline, etc with both parents working long hours. We have little microcosms of society in front of us all day so we see all the ills of society looking back at us in the children we teach.

Have they changed over the years. Absolutely they have.

In Private schools, one would expect to have parents who back the teachers more and who share common educational goals including the social goals of fostering an environment which results in well-adjusted happy children.

I'm the teacher, and if my kids step out of line, I have significant leverage, I always win, its so simple,

Here's why, I take away the very thing, things they cherish or love,

Here's how I do it,

Bossman Jase, okay, now little J, if you dont empty the dish washer and set up the table, YOUR IPAD IS CONFISCATED FOR TWO WEEKS, NO IFS,NO BUTS,

Guess what, I won again, the dishes are out the dishwasher, the table is set,

I take one look at my kids and they look at me, Bossman Jase says, is there anything that you would like to say,

Little J and the other litte J , say, love you dad,

Lol, I know how to make or break those little buggers,

Leverage, Leverage, Leverage, then anchor, anchor, anchor,

I demand absolute respect from my kids, well, anyone for that matter,

Its a system of give and take, the problem starts when more taking and less giving is taking place,

I feel so sorry for the teachers today because of the minority of society that, Quite frankly, is trailer trash and they say that the teacher is wrong,

The system needs to start standing up to bullying parents and say, no, your kid is an asshole, and so are you, in my opinion,
