I demand absolute respect from my kids, well, anyone for that matter,

Its a system of give and take, the problem starts when more taking and less giving is taking place,

I feel so sorry for the teachers today because of the minority of society that, Quite frankly, is trailer trash and they say that the teacher is wrong,

The system needs to start standing up to bullying parents and say, no, your kid is an asshole, and so are you, in my opinion,

School reports are written with political correctness very much in place. Perhaps school reports were the founders of this political correctness rubbish. I remember writing a report about a child which was absolutely accurate. I passed it around the table where we were all writing reports. Bursts of laughter. They all knew it would never be read by anyone else outside the staff room. Got ripped up and the usual bs report written which was very "positive" which was the word we heard often. Must contain "positive" comments.

Another kid - no homework. Not even the textbook had been purchased. Told the mum. She then turned to child and said, "Now if you do some homework, what do you think will happen?" Kid looks embarrassed. She then said, "I will buy you Maccas".

I nearly fell off the chair. Shouldn't he have been castigated for all the homework he had failed to provide rather than a promise from mum that he will be rewarded with a Hamburger and Chips?
