but this topic gets a bee up ma bonnet as need them each year to make stuff you just cant buy for love or money:
and here is another thing:

they rubbisg that comes from sugar water is honey/tastes like honey..but is akin to US chesse you get from a tube:

the reduction in honey with anti cancer properties

Chuckling by your observation that I'm not intrinsically silly. We have 3 native bee hives as well. Are you aware of their medical application/ potential? They are generally suited to climates above Sydney. Macadamia farmers love them. Have split one to make a new hive but the resultant carnage is terrible. Their honey is beautiful, has a citrus tangy flavour.
