    NBD, great read.... The specific gravity test is used today still, A quartz specimen containing an amount of gold, tells us the exact amount of gold in it. As to the above videos...… bit tongue in cheek stuff, gold being much heavier would not be laying around on top of sand, gravity over time pulls it down. However after a mighty flood the rushing water would wash the sand away exposing the nuggets on the bottom, have specked little nuggets in cks after a storm myself. As per looking for ngts in outhouses..... best of luck, most diggers just crapped in the bush etc..... joss house/ opium den locations would be best..... picked up lots of coins and trinkets etc out from Heathcote in the mid to late seventies. Billy Powell from Coolgardie ate dead horse when lost in his younger days while out prospecting, still alive today, he can tell some great stories about gold. Pituri bark? please explain.? cheers
