Most posters on this thread are friends and we take care what we say to each other; we do not pick on each others' spelling errors, not even faults in logic, but try and find the positives. Our good friend NBD isn't posting much at the moment, because he is dealing with living in a bush fire zone, but if you saw his erroneous spelling, often intended in a joking manner, you would have nightmares and come to the wrong conclusions - we just laugh and try and see the witty and clever man behind it and are richer for the experience. Another wonderful wit, Barg, is similarly engaged but his joking posts are gems we all enjoy and many of us try and emulate them with greater or lesser success, but this thread is fun, above everything else.

The main reason this thread has worked so well, is because many threads on HC are adversarial in a bad way, insofar that provocative and unfounded opinions and arguments seem to be posted for ever and ever, with not a hint that any counter-argument is taken on board. B o r i n g!

I am here because I still own some shares and maybe I'll dip my toes into the market again this year, but also because I find this particular thread friendly.

I find it off-putting that you openly admit to being an observer of our advancing frailty for some obscure experiment you are conducting - this is so offensive, I was going to put you on ignore, but I am actually telling you that this is rude and offensive behaviour and I rarely put people on ignore.....

.... especially not you: because in my perverse way I will rather relish the day when someone on here will let you know exactly how they feel about being put under the microscope by someone whose mind isn't even big enough to see that they are acting in an offensive way, let alone understand what they are 'seeing' under the microscope.

I do not wish you ill in any manner or form and understand that deep-down you are acting out some drama unconnected to any of us.

I am sorry to hear your interpretation of the discussions regarding all our future prospects. Many will not have to endure this concern. I fully understand the close family concerns you have had and also you own personal struggles. My association is one very close to my heart and I did openly state part of my intentions when I first joined the discussions. Would you have preferred I didn’t tell you.
it is not an enjoyable subject to discuss and I also know that this forum is a social outing for the majority of posters. Parsifal always gives a great debate and knowing her past adds to the discussion.
if you desire to place me on ignore, I cannot stop that but knowing someone is trying to assist in reducing the risk can only be beneficial for all concerned.
