I don’t see why you’d feel humbled. The thing is a lot of my friends are artists and I look at their work and feel in awe. They tell me they experience the same thing. So better I think to enjoy the creative process and whatever peace, insight, rest or satisfaction it brings.
For me art is also healing and so very necessary but there are moments when I am creating something and it is like meditating. They call it flow and it’s a wonderful thing.
I always feel that I have little ability to be truly conceptual and that limits me but then I have increasingly realised it doesn’t matter
being involved in my sort of art has also bought me a rich mix of friends. From crazy, extraordinary people to solid down to earth friends. Everyone of them is kind and loving.
