culture is interesting. I did sociolinguistics which really was language and culture, non western music which was music and culture and literature which was words and culture. Actually more useful then psych I reckon. Read a few Russian novels in Russian (which I did) and you sort of get a lot more about the way their society operates.
I used to notice how hard the older students worked and was both envious and sorry for them. But they seemed to have a lot more clues about why they were there. I didn’t have a clue at all. I still had a bit of growing up to do. Maybe I still do but as I say to people I’m on the downhill path to death now but not at all near the bottom.
