• use the lowest watt bulb
• turn off power points
• turn off standby on all devices
• have off peak electric
• cut your own wood
• use soap and not toothpaste ( make sure soap has no curlies )
• Use news paper
• wash cloths in cold water
• cut your own hair
• only buy specials,
• look for items on the bottom shelf at super market
• if item of fruit of veg packaged,says 1kg,,,take a few bags to weigher and pick the one that is 1.25kg
• put car in nutral or "angel gear" when going down hill
• On a super high way,,two lane,, find a big truck doing the speed limit or more,, get on two way and tell him you are low on fuel and need his slipstream if its ok,,,get to about 1 meter away from his rear bumper bar,,and use half as much fuel from a to b,,, I used to this on Canberra to Sydney runs and I kid you not kiddo, I used 1/2 as much fuel
