Situation re the young lady sorted. Let loose on poor hubby when he got home in the early hours of his morning. He suggested that perhaps the more positive response would be to rock up with a giant umbrella and a couple of deck chairs this morning and present it to the practice. We did so and as far as I know it's still outside the door (3 or 4 metres from the building). Still upset though. Our local practice was sold to one of the so-called "super-clinics" who as far as I'm concerned don't give a stuff.
Zero, we all have different levels of risk and I acknowledge that I'm not terribly risk-adverse but letting a distressed lady sit on cold concrete steps in the pouring rain is taking things a bit far. I doubt it was her preference. If anyone else thinks they need to be tested they might think twice and decide not to and I'm sure none of us want that.
We all need to step up and try and be better people. All of us.
