Seen a few 70's home in this area, most don't have a carport under the main roof and seen some with pokey rooms and tiny kitchens.
Mine at least has a decent layout, open plan lounge, Kitchen/dining and add on Games room, no children so the 3 x 1 is more than enough. Having ample garden space front and back is a bonus
