@picastoc - same here - I have often stubbed my little toy - very painful - I commiserate.
But I discovered a shoe type which is very useful, particularly for me, as I have often to go outdoors onto grass and earth. The shoe brand is 'Plumex' - they come in all kinds of colours. Their main product is in a kind of knitted tricot top, I have one set, but prefer, the solid light imitation leather. The shoes are almost flat, but enclose the entire foot and they are easy to put on and take off - no more stubbed toes. They have a rubber sole. check them out Tau
