    interesting isn’t it. But I tell myself we all defend our sense of self in sone way. We have to I guess. There is an interesting exercise I do sometimes with clients. You get them to describe the thing about another or another team that is bugging them. Then I might get that other team to do their version or I ask the first team to try to think about what tte second team might say about them. Then I ask them to look at the words and describe what a neutral third party might say

    it can work really well when people get an aha moment and realise they are part of the problem too. But not everyone wants to stand in another’s space. It’s deeply uncomfortable and can shake us.

    and in case you are wondering I spent much time in counselling reflecting on that for myself. I’m pretty sure I know it and pretty sure I can work out where and when I should have drawn tte line. About week four or thereabouts Then all the cycle would have stopped
