The roads in orange needs written authorisation in advance. Previously I did get approval to take a motor home over the daintree river on another trip.
It may be fairly routine, as hiring a 4wd but having to stay on sealed roads is a little nonsensical. It may be to make sure the road is passable.
This was my intended itinerary which was done up in a quick hour after I made the booking, so very much draft. I have now also noticed some of the roads I intend to drive on in the NT also need approval so it could change.
Wondering if the whole Gibb Rd would be advisable, but I do like the shortcut from Derby to Fitzroy crossing through Windjana if I can get approval

@Justis all I really know is you both live in WA. And I don’t have any numbers which is ok.
I would have guess you were both closer to Perth than Broome but I have no idea really.
