@Parsifal - I was 'corrected' on using a simple word last night - but I think it was an automatic program that did it, and I believe it is a leftover from someone playing with the system, doing a test program and forgetting about it. . . . . but I/we had a lot of laughs from it.
I have been moderated in the past, a number of times in fact, but have forgotten why. Lately I am trying to hold back a little.
Some weeks ago now, I did get angry with a poster on here, but there is a simple solution, he is on IGNORE, so I do not even know if he is on-line or not. He never has anything new to say, anyway.
I have only ever once before put a poster on Ignore, when I quite accidentally twigged (by checking a word on the 'urban dictionary') that this particular person had a sexual peculiarity and he was compulsively posting odd references, which had a connotation I didn't know, but moderators should have known. He got away with it for years - he no longer posts. I then was only on the stock forums and I think I will return, as this is taking up too much of my time.
Parsi, don't worry too much, but if there is someone who you don't trust, just re-read your posts and keep them less personal.
I have often been tempted to post a photo from long ago, which shows me with my favourite cat 'Ant' but have resisted every time, because I don't look all that different now, or a picture of my husband, who could be a total clown and we took some fun photos, but he travelled all over W.A. and many people knew him, so: No!
I took a photo of my eldest child (as a baby) off, when I realised there was someone malignant around - I should not have posted it in the first place.
However, i have a beautiful shot of one of the few little 'mountains' of Western Australia - Wave Rock - which shows me as a tiny figure within a huge landscape, i might post that, once I have scanned it - the actual landscape is what's important in that image.
It is this temptation to 'confess' to 'tell all' because we cannot see one another, look one another in the eye, which can trip one up. We might be more reticent, in a real setting; we might have second thoughts, when interacting with an actual human being.
go well
