Just left over wool. I've made several of these. Not a blanket for a bed but throws I drape around furniture during winter. I try to get some particular colour to dominate by repeating it throughout the entire length so not totally random nor all unused wool. Once I can't manage its weight any more, I am forced to cast off. Each one sports a fringe on either side which is simply formed at the start and end of each row. Glad you liked them Parsifal. In real like the colours are stronger, always disappointed how my camera seems to lie.....
