    wallabies and Rabbits served the same purpose as sheep in keeping the grass down but sadly they also ate expensive undergrowth I had planted. I had fenced the garden but they managed to get in still - and once in that is it. Made it hard to grow seedlings as well though and so I suspect a lot of the Japanese maples I had propagated never made it. I also had someone staying at my place for a while and he neglected to close gates which made the wallaby problem worse and he didn’t water the propagation house so rather too much died.

    lol your description of deadheading made me laugh. I’m the same. If I go to any place I can’t stop myself pulling weeds out. I’ll try to resist when I’m in WA though.
