Well it looks to be a bumper wild flower season so the challenge will be where to get off the main route and stop for closer look.
Think the timing of your trip is pretty good and you will get see some pretty diverse country between Kalbarri and down south, humm just realised you will be here at end of winter and beginning of spring and of course the record rains will be very conducive.
Last number of trips north had me seeing dry, bare, paddocks and bush so looking forward to the change of scenery
Will take the coast road from Northampton via port Gregory to Kalbarri. Think it way be worth heading back via the Ajana road to Great Western Hwy, from there a short drive north to the bridge over the Murchison River, there is a camp-site there and will be nice to see the water flowing there. Little flow when I last passed there
