@NoBoDe - In the days of 'yore' when I was still part of a couple - we went to Salisbury Cathedral, but never knew about the clock - very impressive Cathedral - I bought a black-n white picture of a Knight, an image taken from his tomb - and had it in my old house for many years - when T. died I took it down, thinking it had brought bad luck.
But it's magic country round there - it's on the way to Stonehenge - and then one could walk right up to the stones and walk around them, nowadays there is an enclosure.
We also went to Winchester - admired King Alfred - one of the English kings I admire greatly - somewhere we saw either the original or a copy of the Magna Carta!
thanks for the memory-lane diversion!
