when we/I first arrived in Australia a book which was called something like: 'Let Stalk Strine' written by Prof. 'Afferbeck Lauder' made the rounds and it was hilariously funny - I've still got it somewhere - the writer: Afferbeck Lauder was born in Mairlben. He was Professor of Strine Studies at the University of Sinny and a Fellow of the Yarnurdov Foundation, London
John Clarke, born in New Zealand, became a Strine Adept! and he introduced one of Afferbeck lauders books with the following: "They are essential reading for air fridge Strines and new Strines alike!"
