I am nearly crying, I just watched the final episode of The Durrells.
I have loved sharing every moment with this family.
But the war had started and they had to leave Corfu. I have very fond memories of this beautiful island.
I adored the way this family lived, I feel as if I knew them.
How wonderful to live such a simple, but glorious life.
It took me back to when our kids were little and we were considered to live rather alternative and odd lives on our farm in a very posh village.
My two little girls yearned to live in a housing estate in the village, where the kids could all walk to each others homes.
Their friends however, loved our farm. Full of sheep, goats, dogs, kittens, cows and much more.
Why do people always yearn for what they cannot have.
I have gone all sentimental and silly, sorry.
Au Revoir to the Durrells.
May we all enjoy the present and my friends please take care.
Love Jo Jo xx
