grrr. Pesky, horrible things. Weird to think people brought them in with the idea of recreating an aristocratic lifestyle. I think animals struggle with trauma. There’s a condition called capture myopathy that affects animals in those circumstances. They might survive the attack but the trauma gets them
on a related note I heard an almighty thump on my sliding door and found a stunned bird lying there. I gently moved it somewhere safe and hoped it would survive. A few hours later, after being away from home I checked in on it and was pleased to see it appeared to have made an escape flight. Better outcome than your rabbit.
btw in tasmania you might just have to contend with eagles and quolls. The latter are possibly more vicious than foxes. The former once swooped on my Scottie dog who managed to escape.
