Well cold air is more dense than hot air so when you only run the up stairs the could air falls to the lower floor and pushes the hot air up where it gets sucked out of the return air grill which I imagine is up stairs
Not familiar with Brivis at all, you may not want to see this but enouth to put me off LOL
