Thanks @picastoc - I am glad your roof is being seen to - I did a recent interior inspection whilst cleaning my living room ceiling and discovered 'things happening' in one ceiling panel - last time I had a repairer out was pretty unsatisfactory - so I am already worried who is going to turn up this time. I had such a handyman for a husband, that I am often disappointed with what turn out to be 'professional' people - so far, I can live with the damage for a while.
re meat pie; I have still got the container - it was a really classy-looking pie - haven't eaten a pie in yonks and then this nightmare. I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to being ill, have been blessed with good health most of my adult life, except some 'nervous' conditions, involving tummy and sides - but not recently. I am so glad I postponed this week's dental appointment - it would have been worse with both sides of my face hurting as well.
Good luck with your teeth - for me it is a fairly novel experience, as all I have ever had were the usual repair jobs, but will now be missing most of my lower molars - front and upper teeth still o.k. and I will hang onto them. Hubby always told me I had beautiful teeth - he had a gap between his two middle front teeth - which I found rather charming - all so unimportant, really . . . . . as long as they do the job.
People keep telling me to go to Thailand etc. to have teeth 'done' - I believe in staying local with something which needs seeing to on a regular basis - and it's good to have a relationship with a good local dentist. Dental techniques are so much better than they were years ago - I still remember my first ever - and voluntary (as a 13-year old) visit to a dentist - this guy still had a foot-operated drill - a nightmare - noisy and he seemed to take forever doing the drilling with the noise reverberating in my ears/head and of course, no injection. It was some years before I had more dental work done, this time in England and with an injection and with an electric drill . . .
Lets count our blessings of living in a modern country with amazing health- and other facilities!!! go well - I must run, things to do Taurisk
