Stonehenge: this is definitely true of many historic sites all over Europe - we seem to have the money to scrub old stones clean . . . . Second picture is missing the 'enclosure' : - when I and hubby visited Stonehenge in the 'last century' one could still get close-up and personal with the stones, now they are encaged and no doubt an admission fee is charged.
Last time I 'was' driven past there in 'this' century, there was a queue of tourists awaiting admission. go well Taurisk
