Even sadder when the person you are attempting to engage in debating has just called an opponent an "idiot".
So, apparently, anyone who doesn't believe what you believe is either disbelieved by you are is an "idiot".
Do you even know what the rules of debate are? They are rarely observed here on the internet. However, they are taught in senior classes in secondary school. A simple example of one such rule is that no name calling is permitted. Try it, and you lose points for your team.
I will continue to hold those share parcels for which I paid very little indeed. You wrote, that one day they will need to be sold by the current owner. No, I can bequeath them to another/others on my death, and no capital gain is released. It is only when the beneficiary/beneficiaries choose to sell, that a capital gain event occurs. Losses, however, cannot be claimed. Debating requires adherence to facts. Arguments are different. They belong to the school yard.
Another rule, apologise for evident errors that you make otherwise the adjudicator marks you more severely.
